Europa-Park has celebrated the traditional topping-out ceremony of their sixth themed hotel, Krønasår, which will form part of a major expansion to the resort in Germany.

The new hotel is located adjacent to Rulantica, a new water park also under construction at Europa-Park, and both will open in 2019.

Krønasår will be modelled after a natural history museum. At the entrance area, hotel guests will discover the skeleton of a sea serpent, part of a story about 'the legendary island Rulantica’.

Thomas Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park:

“From the spring of 2019, the stylish hotel, which is modeled after a Nordic natural history museum and offers extensive culinary delights, will be able to accommodate 1,300 overnight guests in 304 rooms and suites. The expansion to our overall offer, as well as the realisation of this unique themed water world, are an important step in securing the location. In addition, we are creating around 550 new jobs, of which approximately 250 jobs are accounted for by the Krønasår adventure hotel.”

Krønasår will be able to accommodate up to 1,300 overnight guests. After an day in the Rulantica water park, the themed hotel will offer guests of all ages stylish accommodation with a Nordic flair. The restaurant Bubba Svens, designed in the style of an old boathouse, will offer a wide range of options while the fine dining restaurant Tre Krønen will serve further choices. Café Konditori and Bar Erikssøn complete the culinary offers in the seven storey hotel. A bridge will link the hotel with the water park, providing overnight guests with direct access.
