Starting from March 30, visitors to Bellewaerde in Belgium can explore the brand-new themed land, Mundo Amazonia. In this area, you'll find three new attractions, including a ground-breaking world's first with the unique water ride Amazonia.
Additionally, the area features a new catering point, a souvenir shop, and restroom facilities. To enhance the experience, the entire land is surrounded by newly planted natural scenery. The development and construction of this brand-new zone were funded through an investment portfolio totalling 21 million euros.
In Mundo Amazonia, visitors will enjoy a South American and Brazilian atmosphere surrounded by beautiful trees and exotic shrubs and plants. A total of 80 large indigenous trees with heights of 10 to 18 metres will be planted, along with 70 exotic trees ranging from 5 to 10 metres, 30 exotic shrubs of 3 metres, and around 600 smaller shrubs.
Amazonia
The adventure begins in the queue amidst exotic natural beauty. The boarding station for the attraction is located in an abandoned mining building where emeralds were once mined. Visitors board a boat for 8 people, starting the adventure with a sloping lift that takes them to a height of 18 metres. The boat glides down a swirling water slide into a first water basin. Subsequently, a rotating vertical lift propels them to an impressive height of 19 metres, leading to a gigantic halfpipe! The spectacular journey concludes with an unexpected free fall into the mine shaft. This attraction is unique worldwide and can only be found at Bellewaerde!
Rio Do Cacao
For those seeking a gentler experience, there's Rio Do Cacao, a mini log flume. This attraction allows children to experience the first sensations of a water ride with a soft splash as a surprise.
Brazilian Buggies
Young adventurers can find yet more excitement in the Brazilian Buggies. This all-new kids' coaster promises a tailored first roller coaster experience for the little ones and is a subtle nod to the Beetle Coaster of the past.
Rio Do Cafe
The River Splash is also part of the new area, undergoing a thorough upgrade and transforming into Rio Do Cafe.
Samba Souvenirs
In the new souvenir shop, Samba Souvenirs, you'll find the coolest gifts for young and old, including emeralds and other gemstones.
Tropical Takeaway
Tropical Takeaway helps satisfy your hunger with a completely new catering point and a beautiful terrace where you can taste the exotic atmosphere in delicious empanadas, crispy nachos, and delightful tacos.
