Isla Mágica, a popular theme park in Seville, was set to introduce an exciting new attraction for thrill-seekers in 2026 — their first 'Wooden Coaster'.
A representative for the manufacturer, Great Coasters International, has confirmed to us that the ride has been cancelled and is not being built.
The new roller coaster was planned to feature a predominantly wooden structure and be built on the picturesque lake at the heart of the park.

At a reported cost of approximately €2.7 million, the new Wooden Coaster was set to make a splash with its 25-metre height and a ride length of 595 metres. The attraction, manufactured by Great Coasters International, would have featured steel GCI Titan Track.
Riders would have experienced a smooth yet exciting journey, aboard a 16-person train, reaching speeds of up to 68 km/h. The total ride time was set to be a swift 1 minute and 33 seconds, offering just enough adrenaline to leave visitors craving more.
The introduction of the new attraction was intended to expand Isla Mágica's portfolio to a total of 30 rides, solidifying its reputation as a leading amusement park in the region. They faced some early construction difficulties, and are considering other options for 2027.
