Parc Bagatelle in France has announced its most ambitious new attraction in recent years: North Storm, a thrilling ride set to open for the 2026 season.

The new ride will be a Typhoon 360 model from Italian manufacturer Technical Park, representing a significant addition to the park’s portfolio and a clear statement of intent as Bagatelle continues to evolve its offering.

What to Expect from North Storm

North Storm will stand approximately 33 metres tall and combine powerful swinging motions with rotational movement and full inversions. The new experience ride centres on a giant pendulum-style arm, with the gondola gradually building momentum as it swings higher, eventually rotating through a complete 360-degree inversion at its peak.

Riders will be seated facing outwards, enhancing both the sensation of exposure and the visual impact of the experience. At full swing, the attraction is expected to generate forces of up to 4G, placing it firmly in the park’s top tier for intensity.

The ride’s storm-inspired theme will be supported by atmospheric elements such as lighting and sound effects, designed to reinforce the feeling of being caught in a powerful northern tempest.

A New Level of Thrill at Bagatelle

Aimed at guests measuring 1.40 m and above, North Storm is clearly targeted at thrill seekers, teenagers and young adults. Its arrival marks a notable expansion of Bagatelle’s more thrilling offerings, complementing the park’s well-established mix of family attractions.

Typhoon 360 installations remain relatively rare in France, and North Storm will place Parc Bagatelle among a small group of parks operating this ride type, helping the attraction stand out within the regional theme-park landscape.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Bagatelle's management has positioned North Storm as a cornerstone of a broader, long-term investment plan focused on modernisation and strengthening the parks appeal as a destination on the northern French coast.

With over 35 attractions already on offer, the addition of a headline thrill ride of this scale is expected to drive renewed interest from repeat visitors while also attracting new audiences when the park reopens in spring 2026.
