BoldMove Nation has announced new details about their upcoming media-based dark ride at Hunderfossen in Norway, which will bring the feature film Rally – From Paris to the Pyramids to life.

The new indoor attraction will feature the company’s next-generation Rogue Rides trackless vehicles and is being developed in collaboration with Oslo-based Qvisten Animation.

Rally Flåklypa is scheduled to open at Hunderfossen in May 2026.

A New Chapter for the Flåklypa Universe

The new attraction, Rally Flåklypa, will be housed within an existing show building at Hunderfossen. It brings guests directly into the high-stakes race from the beloved film franchise, immersing them in the whimsical world of inventor Reodor Felgen and his companions.

The experience will combine precision-synchronised media with onboard vehicle movement—sliding, spinning, and dynamic motion cues that place riders at the centre of the action. The new dark ride will enhance the park’s established Flåklypa area, which already includes the Il Tempo Extra Gigante roller coaster and the THEA Award-winning Flåklypa 5D cinema.

Cutting-Edge Technology Meets Timeless Storytelling

BoldMove Nation is delivering the ride system, trajectory design, AV solutions, and theming, all powered by the new Kamino show control system. Kamino integrates advanced imaging, show management, lighting, effects, and both onboard and off-board sound to create a seamless and immersive environment.

Qvisten Animation is responsible for developing all new media content for the attraction, including the preshow. Their work is based on the upcoming third Flåklypa feature film, drawn from the beloved universe created by author Kjell Aukrust.

“At BoldMove, we create unique dark rides by seamlessly blending immersive theming with powerful media technology,” said Anja D'Hondt, co-founder of BoldMove Nation. “We can’t reveal the full ride dynamics just yet, but we promise it will be worth the wait!”

A Story of Friendship, Ingenuity, and Underdogs

The new film—set to be released in Norway on Christmas Day—follows Reodor Felgen, a brilliant but eccentric inventor determined to regain his reputation after being banished from his hometown for his dangerous creations. Joined by a fearless bird and a neurotic hedgehog, Reodor enters the legendary Paris-Dakar rally to prove the viability of his eco-friendly fuel, Methane Rapido Potente, derived from cow burps and flatulence.

Their efforts attract the ire of electric-vehicle tycoon Ellen Busk, who sees their invention as a threat and attempts to sabotage them. The story that unfolds is one of perseverance against powerful rivals—“David fighting Goliath,” as described by Fredrik Kiøsterud, CEO at Qvisten Animation.

“The story is about persistence and friendship,” Kiøsterud explained. “It stars honest friends from a tiny Norwegian village who fight against rich and crooked corporate contenders that will do anything to win. This IP forms the basis for our work on this unique media dark ride.”

Fans can expect more details in the coming months, following the film’s release this Christmas.
