O’Gliss Park, France's largest water park based in the Vendée region, has announced plans to launch Manakai – Typhoon Coaster in 2028.
Developed in collaboration with BoldMove Nation, this exciting new attraction will introduce the world's first Spinfinity Splash Coaster.
Unveiled during IAAPA Expo Europe in London, Manakai will form the centrepiece of a wider development for the park, marking another step in their ambition to evolve from a water park into a fully immersive destination.
An Immersive Family Experience
Designed from the outset as a dedicated family experience rather than a scaled-down thrill ride, Manakai features a 465-metre track reaching heights of up to 19 metres. The attraction combines roller coaster dynamics, controlled spinning, water experiences, special effects, and deep storytelling.
The ride's vehicles accommodate four passengers sitting face-to-face, allowing families and friends to see and react to each other throughout the journey. Controlled rotations add surprise while keeping the movement smooth and accessible for a broad audience, delivering endless fun without traditional airtime.
The adventure culminates in a splashdown through a pool, creating a wave designed to soak both riders and spectators. With two vehicles dispatched at each departure, the ride will achieve a capacity of 1,000 guests per hour.

French Polynesian Theming
Rather than being closed off, Manakai runs across the area so visitors can walk under, around, and across the attraction. The queue, station, vehicles, landscapes, and water effects are developed as part of one coherent story inspired by French Polynesia.
Clément Trigatti, Communication Manager at O'Gliss Park, comments:
"Manakai will offer an entirely new experience in the world of water parks. To date, there is no comparable attraction on the market combining a rollercoaster and water park experience in this way. With this new attraction, our visitors will experience the excitement of a rollercoaster while remaining immersed in the aquatic world they came for, all within an exotic setting inspired by French Polynesia."
Founder and CEO Michaël Thibaud adds:
"When guests immediately want to experience the ride again, it means we have built more than an attraction. We have created a memory. And that, since the beginning of my journey, is why I continue doing this job."
