Le Parc du Petit Prince, located in Alsace, France, has launched two new attractions for its 2026 season, bringing enhanced visual appeal and kinetic energy to the park.
Situated between Colmar and Mulhouse, the theme park is based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's famous book, and this year is celebrating a major historic milestone. Following its acquisition by the Polish leisure group Ptak in 2025, the destination has achieved its best season opening in history, recording a 53% surge in visitors during April 2026.
The latest expansion introduces Z'Hopla and Troublion, two family-friendly rides that celebrate the rich history of aviation in line with Saint-Exupéry's legacy as a pioneering pilot.
The New Attractions
Z'Hopla: The Mooring Tower Drop
- The Story: This attraction immerses guests in the industrial elegance of the Belle Époque and the early 20th-century history of zeppelins. It features a historical parallel: the Zeppelin LZ 1 made its maiden flight on 2 July 1900, just three days after Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was born. The queue line includes trilingual educational panels to teach families about these giants of the sky.
- The Ride: Designed by the German manufacturer Zierer, Z'Hopla is a drop tower standing approximately 10 metres high. It features a circular gondola with five double seats, accommodating 10 passengers per cycle with an hourly capacity of 320 people.
- Height Restrictions: Accessible independently from 130 cm, or from 100 cm when accompanied by an adult.
Troublion: The Aerial Bicycle Ride
- The Story: Troublion transports visitors back to 1797 to celebrate the first parachute jump in history, performed by André-Jacques Garnerin. The ride's theme features a whimsical nod to the book's Geographer character, who provides weather data to Garnerin but refuses to guarantee it, as the weather is "ephemeral".
- The Ride: Manufactured by Zamperla, this 'Magic Bikes' type ride allows passengers to sit on suspended aerial bicycles and pedal to rise several metres into the air. It accommodates up to 8 adults and 8 children simultaneously, yielding an hourly capacity of 384 people.
- Height Restrictions: Accessible independently from 120 cm, or from 90 cm when accompanied by an adult.

A New Era of Growth under the Ptak Group
The 2026 novelties represent the first major structural additions since the Ptak group took control. The family-backed company, which also operates Europe's largest indoor theme park, Mandoria, in Poland, has committed to a long-term investment strategy that respects the French park's core identity.
In addition to the new rides, the park's infrastructure has received a notable facelift. The restaurant selection has grown to 9 outlets, highlighted by the transformation of the previous Météorite Café into the Météorite Bistrot for 2026, which features a completely renovated space serving Italian cuisine and local products. The park has also extended its operating schedule to a record-breaking 186 days for the 2026 season.
