Desmo Race has now opened in Mirabilandia’s new area Ducati World. The new ride is the world's first interactive double-track duelling roller coaster.

On a two-seat motorcycle - which simulates driving a V4 Panigale - it is possible to challenge each other along two parallel tracks for a head-to-head race. Accelerating and braking are under the driver’s control.

Everyone has the opportunity to feel like a real racer (minimum age 6 years old and 120 cm in height) and can experience the thrill of a motorbike race.

Ducati World is the world’s first themed area inspired by a motorcycle brand located inside a theme park. Michele Pirro, a Ducati motorcyle racer, was the first person to try the long-awaited attraction.

Riccardo Marcante, General Director of Mirabilandia:

"Desmo Race is a unique coaster, not only for its technical characteristics (two motorbikes that compete, leaving the rider free to accelerate and brake at his/her will). We could have chosen a longer and higher coaster, but instead we chose an attraction which allows children and adults to have fun in the same way as if they were riding a Ducati."

Andrea Dovizioso, Ducati Team, MotoGP:

“Desmo Race is really very exciting! I felt like I was riding my motorcycle: you can accelerate and brake just as you do in a real competition! I am so happy I have been the first person to try it and I hope that everyone will enjoy the same experience”.

Desmo Race is a Spike Racing powered roller coaster from German manufacturer Maurer, only the second ride of this type in the world.

Other rides and attractions in Ducati World at Mirabilandia include:

  • Scrambler Run: has also opened to the public, an attraction inspired by the well-known Scrambler.
  • Diavel Ring: for the youngsters willing to take a challenge, by changing gears and braking to tame the Diavel.
  • Kiddy Monster: inspired by one of the most iconic Ducati modela, it allows children to ride a motorcycle and touch the sky, experiencing the feeling of the wind on the face while being carried away higher and higher.
  • Experience Building: a building hosting cutting-edge simulators and all the motorcycle manufacturer’s most renowned models on permanent display.

To complete the area there is an official store, too: the Ducati Shop, with customised gadgets and merchandise. For a tasty break between one experience and another, three food outlets will satisfy every taste and need: Paddock Cafè, Pit Stop and Scrambler BBQ.
