Liseberg has begun the construction of their new Grand Curiosa Hotel at the southern end of the park.

The new Grand Curiosa Hotel is part of Liseberg’s expansion project and it's intended to open in 2023 celebrating the park’s centennial. The second part will be a year-round, fully integrated, indoor water park.

New renderings reveal the hotel’s logotype, and detailed images of the main facade. New drone footage over the building shows the outlines of the hotel.

Andreas Andersen, CEO & President at Liseberg:

“2020 has so far been a tough year for the whole industry and for Liseberg. To see this project, that we have put so much time and effort into, come to life – it feels nothing short of amazing. As the construction continues it becomes more and more tangible and is a testament to the fact, that we believe in the future of the industry post-Covid”.

The Grand Curiosa Hotel will be a highly themed family hotel, inspired by the history of Gothenburg and the West Swedish East India Trading Company.

It will include 457 family rooms, a restaurant with a fully functional merry-go-round from 1923, a rooftop bistro with a view of the park and several bars.

The hotel is estimated to host over 800,000 guests per year and is a vital part of the park’s future plans towards becoming a year-round experience.
