PortAventura World is gearing up for its upcoming Halloween season, promising an expanded entertainment lineup and a heightened level of intensity for visitors of all ages.

Running from September 19 to November 15, the Spanish resort will transform its park areas with special decorations, themed gastronomy, exclusive products, and a host of new features.

Marking 27 years since PortAventura World began its Halloween celebrations, the 2026 edition introduces several key additions to the programme.

Introducing El Carnicero de Penitence

The headline addition for this year is El Carnicero de Penitence, a brand new horror passage located in the Far West area. Set in the late 19th century, the experience invites visitors to help the local Sheriff investigate a series of mysterious disappearances linked to the town butcher.

Guests will journey through a meticulously detailed recreation of a period butcher's shop and slaughterhouse. Designed with a marked gore tone, the new walkthrough aims to deliver a different register of suspense and terror, bringing the total number of horror passages at the resort to five.

Visitors can now experience:

  • El Carnicero de Penitence
  • La Isla Maldita
  • La Muerte Viva
  • REC® Experience
  • Angkor: La leyenda del Rey Caníbal

Entertainment Across the Park

Beyond the new passage, the 2026 season brings a refreshed entertainment schedule. Guests can look forward to a brand-new show hosted in the Saloon, alongside a variety of new street characters roaming the park.

The resort’s offering spans across Mediterrània, SésamoAventura, México, and Far West, ensuring that the atmosphere permeates the entire destination for nearly 60 days.

A Family Friendly Atmosphere

While the resort continues to ramp up its intense horror offerings, families and younger visitors will find plenty of tailored entertainment. Returning favourites include Truco o Trato, Día de los Muertos, the lively Halloween Parade, family-oriented street characters, and the La Maldición del Emperador scare zone.

PortAventura World's Halloween season runs daily from September 19 until November 15.
