Energylandia in Poland has announced the early opening of new RMC hybrid roller coaster Zadra that was originally planned to open at the theme park in 2020.

The new coaster is 63.8 metres (209.3 ft) tall, 1316 metres (4318 ft) long and reaches a top speed of 121 km/h (75.2 mph).

Zadra (the Polish word for splinter) features a 90° first drop and 3 inversions including a Zero-G Stall. There are two trains, each with 12 rows of 2 people, seating 24 people in total.

Rocky Mountain Construction has built the new hybrid roller coaster using their steel IBox track on a wooden structure. For this reason, Energylandia are calling this the world's tallest wooden roller coaster. Currently, this record is held by T Express at Everland in South Korea and Wildfire at Kolmården in Sweden, both are 56 metres (183.8 ft) tall. However, the use of full steel track will prevent Zadra from claiming that title.

The new hybrid roller coaster is part of a new area at the theme park called Smoczy Gród (Dragon Castle). Visitors are able to explore a street inspired by the medieval period, finished with stone and wood. The style and themed elements have all been inspired by films such as 'Lord of the Rings', 'The Witcher' and 'Robin Hood'.

Other attractions in the new area include Frida (a Vekoma Junior Coaster) and Draken (a Preston & Barbieri Family Coaster).

Energylandia is located near the town of Zator, less than half an hour drive from Kraków. It has planned a series of six new development stages for the coming years covering an area of 150 hectares. Among the impressive investments will include another record breaking roller coaster.

The theme park opened in 2014 and already includes 70 rides and attractions over 26 hectares. Last year the park launched Europe's second tallest and fastest roller coaster, Hyperion.
