Bellewaerde is firmly positioning itself among Europe’s elite theme parks with the announcement of a massive €90 million investment program.

The Belgian park, known for its unique blend of nature, animals, and attractions, is undergoing a major transformation that includes a brand-new themed area and a modernised identity.

The investment represents a bold step forward for the park, aimed at creating unforgettable moments for a new generation of families while staying true to its core mission of providing "fun and adventure in a natural environment."

New for 2026: Canada Zone

The headline of the expansion is the new Canada Zone. This spectacular natural landscape, situated along the water's edge, will host three impressive new additions:

  • Seesaw Swing: Billed as the largest swing of its kind in the world, this flagship attraction propels families over the park's pond, offering breathtaking panoramic views before a thrilling descent.
  • Timber Trail: A spectacular wooden adventure course built over the water, that's designed to challenge both children and adults as they navigate obstacles in a high-energy outdoor setting.
  • The Canadian Burger: To complete the immersion, a new themed restaurant will open at the water’s edge, offering a cozy spot for families to refuel with a view.

A Modernised Identity: Evolution, Not Revolution

Alongside the physical park expansion, Bellewaerde is also refining its visual identity. The iconic logo has been modernised to better reflect the park's contemporary positioning while maintaining its heritage.

The park's mascot, the Lion King, is also getting an upgrade. The character has been redesigned to appear stronger and more modern, taking on a more prominent role in the park's external communications and guest interactions.

Looking to the Future

With these targeted investments, Bellewaerde is demonstrating that it can innovate and grow without losing the "authentic rhythm" that fans have loved for decades. By focusing on the guest experience and a culture of service, the theme park is set to attract families from well beyond the Belgian borders.

"Bellewaerde is ready for the future," the park stated. "In a unique natural setting, the park is building its future around adventure, fun, and the sharing of unforgettable memories."
