Movie Park Germany is rolling out the red carpet for its 2026 season, celebrating three decades of film and park history, with the opening of a new Paramount Pictures themed attraction.
The "Hollywood in Germany" anniversary blockbuster also features an expansion of PAW Patrol characters, and a glamorous new anniversary parade.
Since opening in 1996, the Bottrop-based park has remained dedicated to its cinematic identity. To celebrate its 30th year, the park is investing in both nostalgia and the future with a diverse lineup of new experiences spanning every genre from action to family fun.
New Paramount Pictures Attraction: Journey to the Forbidden Chamber
The headlining act of the anniversary season is a new exclusive Paramount Pictures themed experience titled Journey to the Forbidden Chamber. Replacing the former The Lost Temple attraction, this immersive tunnel experience is scheduled to open in mid-May 2026.
Guests will be transported to an authentic studio setting, acting as extras in a major production at the world-famous Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles.
The attraction features:
- Original Storytelling: A new fictional adventure story created specifically for Movie Park Germany.
- Cinematic Realism: Authentic film sets, props, and show elements designed in collaboration with P&P Projects.
- Hollywood Production: The film for the experience was produced at the legendary Paramount Pictures studio lot in Los Angeles in November 2025.
Global Record: Seven PAW Patrol Heroes
Starting this summer, Movie Park Germany will become the first park in the world to host a total of seven PAW Patrol characters.
The popular trio of Zuma, Rocky, and Everest will join the existing team of Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Skye.
The expansion includes more than just meet-and-greets. Fans can look forward to:
- Interactive Photo Ops: The popular PAW Patrol vehicles return to Adventure Bay this spring, allowing children to sit in Chase’s police car or Skye’s helicopter.
- New Nickelodeon Street Show: A brand-new show featuring parade vehicles for the PAW Patrol pups and SpongeBob SquarePants will debut in Nickelodeon Land.
Parade of Celebration and New Characters
The summer months will see the debut of Movie Park's Parade of Celebration. This all-new 20-minute American-style show experience features new cinematic floats designed by the Belgian company Kabuki, vibrant outfits from US designers, and a custom soundtrack by IMAscore.
The park's character crew is also growing. Joining the resident clapperboard S.A.M. is a new female counterpart, S.I.A., who will take over "directing duties" and appear in meet-and-greets from the start of the season.
A Full Script of 2026 Events
The anniversary celebrations extend throughout the entire year with a packed schedule of seasonal events:
- Summer Nights: On July 25 and August 1, 8, and 15, the park will extend its hours until 8pm with live music and cocktails.
- Anniversary Day (July 4): A glamorous highlight featuring a special program to celebrate the park's official birthday.
- Halloween Horror Festival: Europe's largest Halloween event returns for its 28th run with a new maze and over 280 monsters.
