Europa-Park launched its 2025/26 winter season in spectacular style on 28 November 2025, as the resort hosted Germany’s largest Santa Claus gathering.
Thousands of red coats, white beards and jingling bells filled the pathways of Germany’s biggest theme park, transforming it into a sea of festive cheer on the eve of its winter opening.
The santas travelled from Germany, France and Switzerland to take part in the celebrations, joining together amongst 3,500 snow-covered fir trees, glowing decorations and mountains of wrapped presents.

Festyland, the family theme park near Caen in Normandy, has announced an exciting new addition for the 2026 season: Valkyrie, a Vekoma Family Boomerang Coaster that will immerse guests in the world of the warrior maidens from Norse mythology.
Opening in spring 2026, Valkyrie represents a major investment of over €4 million and is set to become the park’s most ambitious project to date.
With an annual attendance of around 250,000 visitors, the new attraction marks a significant step forward in Festyland’s development as it continues to expand its offering for families.

Efteling – the fairytale theme park in the Netherlands – has once again transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland for families with Winter Efteling.
The seasonal event, now in its 27th year, will run until 1 February 2026 and promises a blend of festive charm, atmospheric entertainment and classic enchantment.

Plopsaland Deutschland is set to open their new 100% Wolf family roller coaster in spring 2026, as part of the theme park’s ongoing transformation.
The roller coaster, based on the popular animated series and film 100% Wolf, will be the centerpiece of a newly themed area designed to captivate visitors of all ages.
As part of an €80 million master plan, this year the park opened a Smurf-themed ride and completed the Blinky Bill-themed area, Greenville Town.
